Sisters in Cheese: Reviews & Ratings
SIC has some amazing food!!! The BAE is literally the most delicious sandwich I've had and the service is SPEC.TAC.U.LAR!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The atmosphere is so welcoming and the fact that I get to do a little shopping while we wait for our food is perfect. There's always a line whenever I'm there. Even my family from New York asked when Sisters would open a store in Manhattan! Thank you to all of the staff at Sisters in Cheese! Oh...and CONGRATULATIONS on the Des Moines Peoples Choice awards you just won!!
SIC has great breakfast sandwiches and a cooler case packed with favorites. I got the roman chopped salad on my most recent trip and it was fantastic! Always try the seasonal drinks! This year's Vietnamese iced coffee is fabulous, and I dream of the return of their magic fall cider. Note: this is a small-town, small business. Make sure to check their business hours - they keep them up-to-date on their website and social media profiles.
Sisters in Cheese is such a cool spot to have in our small town. As former city dwellers, SiC would have gone head to head with the best breakfast sandwiches there too! My favorite is the Apple Sammy that’s around in the fall when they can get local apples. Regardless, it’s always a great spot for breakfast or lunch. Other favorites include the chicken parm salad (they make their own dressings and it’s so good), the new prairie pasta salad, mini grazers, and the cheesecakes they carry from local baker Sweet Sugar Crumbs. As a business, we used their grazing boxes during our grand opening and everyone loved it!
Some of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had. Cold brew Coffee was great as well. The staff was super friendly. It's always great to find such gems in small towns. Definitely recommend driving up there just for breakfast and you can burn those calories hiking in the nearby Ledges State Park.
Not your average breakfast sandwich. Wish I would have taken a picture so you'd see. I had the Bae, nice thick bacon, egg, cheese, avocado spread on nice large croissant. Service very friendly! Coffee good. We sat outside and enjoyed a sunny late fall day. Small shop, no seating inside fyi. Lots of misc local items for sale, fun to browse.
In the area for the weekend and stopped by here for coffee and breakfast, it was 10/10. It was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had!! Fresh with amazing flavor! If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and try this place!
You will NOT get a better breakfast sandwich anywhere else. I drive from Huxley on the regular. I would drove to the ends of the earth for this place! Extremely quality ingredients, made fresh, and flavor explosions in every bite. Each sandwich is crafted with expertise. The Vietnamese coffee is such a treat. The women are magical themselves and the storefront supplies wonderful local goods and snacks/food/desert and more. My husband is still raving about the pepper jelly and jalapeño cream cheese on The Popper. Ugh!! It’s just too good. Low effort, low quality, nearly inedible breakfast sandwiches are easy to find everywhere. This place is a gem.
Sisters in Cheese provided catering for an event I was organizing and they were fantastic to work with. Chelsea made the ordering and decision making process easy and it felt like I didn't have to sweat the small details. And then there's the food; absolutely delicious. It's fresh and tastes like it was made with care. I don't live in the Madrid area, but I'll definitely swing by for food when I'm there and this will be my new go-to catering place the next time I need. Can't recommend them enough.
